In Death is a tabletop roleplaying game about what becomes of the deceased. Play as ghostly Shades traversing the Afterlife, from the Dusk - a mysterious reflection of the World of the Living - to the Underworld - a desolate wasteland where the spirits of ancient beings rule over the souls of mankind. Haunt the Living, converse with the Dead, clash with cruel demons and negotiate with callous angels.

When all seems lost, you are gifted one final chance to set things right – what will you do with your Afterlife?

About In Death

In Death uses Chaosium's d100 Basic Roleplaying System and placed as a finalist in the 2024 Basic Roleplaying Design Competition. The game uses unique mechanics such as a shade's Flesh and Soul to determine their strength in the Afterlife and their ability to reach out and affect the Living. With three unique power types: Hauntings, Miracles and forbidden Sorceries, explore the Afterlife, meet shades from eras gone by and the powerful, extinct beings dismissed by the Living as mythology.

In Death is a roleplaying game designed for character-driven stories which tackle mature themes, with built-in flexibility for genre play. From solving your own murder, to cutting a path through the Underworld to find a place of rest - In Death can tell stories of all kinds - but only if you're dead.
